ABOUT CAMP
The ECU/PCS AIG camp is an annual summer camp for Pitt County AIG students. This camp began in 2005 and has grown each year. We will host 120 gifted students for this year's camp which will be held June 25-29, 2018 at Ridgewood Elementary. Along with PCS AIG teachers, ECU faculty and students will offer a week of rigorous enrichment for your child.
This summer’s curriculum theme is POWER. Whether the students are learning about modern power in programming or traditional power from the Oregon Trail, they will be investigating how power affects our world. Each day, students will participate in power-themed courses, one with a literal power focus, such as circuits or robotics, and one that is more conceptual or metaphorical in theme, such as Superheroes or exploration. Students will be able to select topics that match their interests, and all topics will include hands-on activities and interactive use of technology. Snacks will be served daily.
